Toquilla Straw Hat

A traditional process that of paper weaving on the coasts of Ecuador.It is the hat itself that celebrates local craftsmanship, which begins by buying bundles of dried straw at the market, then woven in moments of rest from work, at home or in the countryside. A creation that is all about waiting, manual work and the highest quality on the part of Ecuadorian artisans who transform the paja toquilla into a true work of art. Added to this is the Effei brand, which wanted to contaminate the culture of Ecuadorian paper weaving with that of Indian blockprinting, giving life to a unique and cosmopolitan headdress, just like the nature of Effei.
