The Delano hat has a strong artisanal connotation: it is made from Panama Brisa and worked using only steam and heat. It is hand-stretched on wooden forms and carefully handled to maintain the traditional elasticity of the Panama hat. The threads of this hat are dyed two different colors and then woven together to create a two-tone star pattern. The classic grosgrain band features a distinctive elongated, asymmetrical bow that adds character to the piece.

The Panama Brisa is a "paja-toquilla" weave traditionally developed in Ecuador and obtained from the leaves of the Carludovica palmata tree. This process, known as Brisa, is a simple weave created from simple threads that lend the hat a light, fresh feel.
