Inspired by the Andean mountains, its friendly people, and its iconic llamas. 100% handmade with Ecuadorian Toquilla Straw (Carludivica Palmata). Handwoven by our artisans (in a process that can take between 2-3 weeks), you will have a piece of art in your hands. This Ecuadorian tradition was declared an intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 2012. This reimagined Toquilla bucket hat is crochet woven with natural coloured and black straw. It comes with black twine wraps attached to gold-plated details and three “sorrow” dolls that will take your sorrows away, according to local tradition.
