The Rudol is our unlined bucket hat, 100% handcrafted. It's made from a vibrant military green canvas (originally called canovaccio), a fabric with a simple plain weave and a coarse weave, whose origins are lost in antiquity.

Its name comes from a dialectal corruption of the word "canapé," the original fabric. Over the centuries, it has undergone numerous improvements in the twisting of the threads and has been adapted to various fibers, especially cotton. It's also a widely used fabric in the nautical field.

The Rudol is a highly sartorial product, consisting of various artisanal steps, including hand cutting, ironing by our Salento artisans without the aid of presses, and the final wooden shaping step. The pure brass D logo and the stitching enhance the final result and brighten the garment. The unstructured construction also makes it practical and hand washable.
