Uluru wants to celebrate Australian culture through textiles that reproduce the works painted by Australian native communities, traditionally created with thousands of stitches and executed in a traditional way with hundreds of hours of work to fill the entire background. The patterns come from original paintings purchased directly from the artists with the aim of maintaining and promoting Australian Aboriginal art. The stitches symbolize stars, sparks, scorched earth, to bring back the connection of the earth with the ancestral world from which everything originated. This particular design is made by Taya Price, an Aboriginal designer from a family of artists in Utopia, in northern Australia.Details:
